Situated in a domestic garden in Hackney, the Hackney Shed provides a workspace and studio for its clients. Designed and built within a limited budget and timescale, the shed celebrates the simplicity of its materials, creating a functional and warm urban retreat.

Thoughtful and Efficient Design
The design maximises the use of space and natural light, ensuring the shed is both practical and inviting. Oak-framed full-height doors are completely retractable, offering clear views of the surrounding garden and enhancing the connection between indoors and outdoors. A cleverly integrated library, built within the structural members, optimises the usable floor area. Additionally, a discreet rear rooflight frames an unexpected and playful view of the sky, adding a touch of surprise to the space.
