The Middleton Road project in Hackney, London, involved a thoughtful transformation of a family home through a new lower ground floor extension, interior design updates, and the addition of a garden artist studio. The design prioritises a harmonious connection between the indoor living spaces and the garden, creating a serene and functional environment.

Thoughtful Design with a Minimal Palette
The lower ground floor extension features a simple yet elegant palette of Douglas fir timber and brickwork, crafting a warm and inviting kitchen and living area. Rooflights positioned within the rafters allow soft, filtered light to cascade into the main living space, enhancing its sense of openness and tranquillity.
The garden artist studio offers a dedicated creative retreat, complementing the home’s overall aesthetic while providing a functional and inspiring space.
