We have been appointed as Architects and Lead for a new 77-home masterplan in Kent, UK. At a time when the country faces a significant shortage not just of new homes, but of good quality homes and well-designed environments, this project offers an opportunity to demonstrate how thoughtful planning, strong architecture, and a clear landscape strategy can meaningfully raise the standard of everyday living.

Our approach will focus on robust materials, efficient layouts, and a coherent public realm that supports safe, legible, and attractive streets. Central to the masterplan is a community building located within a new central park — a flexible, shared space designed to help establish a sense of connection and belonging from the outset.
Sustainability is integral. Low-carbon design principles, strong green infrastructure, and a landscape-led approach will be embedded from the beginning to ensure the neighbourhood is resilient, future-focused, and environmentally responsible.
Our aim is to deliver housing that responds to local needs while contributing to the wider conversation about what high-quality, socially grounded development in the UK should look like.

Sustainability: Our submission sets out a landscape-led masterplan responding to the site’s edge-of-settlement position. A central green forms the organising heart of the neighbourhood, with provision for a small community building within it. Streets are arranged to ensure active play-spaces, and natural surveillance.
